In the West of both myth and reality, open range is land unbounded by fences or artificial barriers to the free movement of cattle, wildlife, people and progress. Before there was ownership, or space allotted to ranches or farms, there was rangeland that was open to all, governed by loose laws and populated by strong, self-made people whose lives are the stuff of stories and legend.

In short, almost anything was possible and the scope of one's life was determined by imagination, fortitude and vision.

Open range was, and is, unfenced space.

Today, open range is still there as noted by the yellow and black road signs we pass at 65 mph. And, more importantly, it is still within us.

Open Range Consulting was founded on the conviction that there is open range within each of us that feeds our creativity, vision and sense of purpose. We believe that our lives can be lived from a perspective of Unfenced Space - possibility limited only by imagination, fortitude and vision. Unfenced Space can be created in organizations, through events, and within individuals and groups.
