While all Open Range Consulting programs and events have elements of experiential learning incorporated into them, we hold a special category for outdoor-oriented experiential learning. This is the oldest part of Open Range and an integral part of our philosophy. We believe that learning by trying, failing, doing and succeeding in a safe environment is the essence of learning. Practicing the tools and techniques for success in a low risk, low consequence setting, allows each of us to integrate the learning and act with clarity and focus when the stakes are higher.

Take It Outside

Open Range Consulting works with organizations, camps, and schools to design impactful experiential and outdoor programming and curriculum. With roots in the rigorous teachings of Outward Bound® and experiential education theory, Open Range will work with you to design, manage and strengthen new and existing outdoor programs or experiential curriculums. We focus on outcome and collaborate closely with you to meet the goals you have set out for your students, participants or personnel. Open Range Consulting works with reputable, established outfitters to provide exceptional logistical, technical and equipment support. We act as the liaison, facilitating the educational components and managing the flow and overview of the program to ensure an exceptionally high quality educational experience.

Open Range Consulting has worked with businesses, leadership organizations, schools, wilderness camps, day camps and others to design experiential programs that are highly impactful, safe and tremendous learning tools.
